1. Introduction
When a child protection conference decides that a child should be the subject of a child protection plan, a qualified and experienced children’s social worker must be appointed as the key worker to co-ordinate all aspects of the inter-agency child protection plan.
The forum to undertake this co-ordinated multi-agency work is the core group, whose membership will have been identified at the child protection conference.
