1. Introduction
The success of safeguarding children is predicated on multi agency cooperation and collaboration. Given the complexity of working together and across various agencies’ priorities it has been recognised in Working Together to Safeguard Children, 2006 that there needs to be in place an agreed speedy and straightforward means of resolving professional differences. Every effort should be made to resolve differences through discussion and explanation at the earliest opportunity.
